Across the country, people want an economy and a government that work for the millions of families in the 99%.
Average Americans are fighting back against the tax-dodging corporations, CEOs, and Wall Street bankers who crashed our economy, took billions in bailouts, and shipped jobs overseas instead of creating good jobs here at home.
Americans are also fed up with corporate-funded politicians who cater to these wealthiest 1% at the expense of the 99%.
People are taking to the streets in growing numbers to convey our outrage – at rallies, marches, sit-ins, and through community petition drives.
More and more of us are declaring ourselves “99% voters” and asking politicians, “Whose side are YOU on?”
The 99% voters demand that politicians:
- Make the wealthiest 1% pay their fair share in taxes. Close tax loopholes so millionaires, big corporations, and Wall Street bankers don’t get away with paying a lower tax rate than hardworking teachers, nurses, and secretaries.
- Create good jobs now. End tax breaks for millionaires and invest in putting the American people back to work.
- Stop cuts to vital services. Put American families first by safeguarding public education, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security.
- Represent people, not corporations. Get corporate money out of politics, now.
As 99% voters stand up together, we will put a face on the millions of families in the 99% and bring our stories to the forefront in our communities, in the media and among politicians.
The growing strength of our numbers, our voices and our votes will send a message that 2012 is the year America stops being a country that works only for the wealthiest 1% and starts working for the rest of us.
JOIN US. TOGETHER, WE WILL MAKE 2012 THE YEAR OF THE 99% VOTER.
